I'm In A Bad Mood

Recently, I have planned to volunteer at the zoo near my house for a Halloween attraction. I was getting super excited, but then when I got home from school, my mom said that the volunteer cordinator had called and said that I have to be over sixteen, which is a problem, because I'm not yet that old.
Afterwards, I was in a terrible mood. I locked myself downstairs and had a good cry.
At supper, I was just sitting there and eating my pizza when my brother turns to me and says, "So, if you had volunteered there, what would you have been doing?"
I turned and glared at him to try and send him the message to drop it. Meanwhile, my mom is nudging him trying to tell him to stop.
But he doesn't.
"It would have been so much fun volunteer there."
Stop. Just...stop.
So, have any of you had an experience like this?

It's Tough

I'm sure everyone can agree with me. Life as a big sister is tough. We've got little siblings running around the house, destroying your school projects, pulling your hair, flushing your favourite earings down the toilet, and eating the last pudding cup that you wanted for your lunch ever so badly.
But there always comes a time when you feel thankful for having your siblings.
That time has yet to come in my family.
There are other times that all you want to do is push them into a box and ship them off to a cow farm where they will be scooping cow manure for the rest of their life.
How peaceful my house would be then.
But the truth is, no matter how much we deny it, we truely love our siblings.
Although, most of us are probably too busy yelling at our siblings to feel it.

Welcome

Being a big sister is hard. All those that have experienced having younger siblings will agree with me on this. We all wish that we were only children at some time or other. This blog is a place where we are able to rant and share our expirences of being who we are: big sisters.
